Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) and many others.
Center Pipe, Inner Screen
The center pipe/inner screen is the central screening component in radial flow systems. Its general shape is a cylinder, where the outer surface delimits the inner side of the catalyst bed. It is usually installed in radial flow reactor internals and collects or distributes the flow.
This device is a central slotted screen in radial flow reactors. Its outer surface contacts the catalyst layer and is made as a slit screen of triangular wire. This device holds the packing and directs the flow toward the outlet. There are versions for flow going towards the center or outwards the center. The central pipe is installed in the reactor on support elements above the outlet fitting. The flow area of the outer surface of the pipe is calculated to ensure operation within the wide range of flow rates.
Centre-pipe/ inner screen configurations used in radial low reactors allow higher flow rates and reduced pressure drop compared with down-flow systems. The use of vertical wires reduces catalyst abrasion. Our axially seamless center pipes have exceptionally high structural strength. and offer an extended lifetime, compared to seam-welded patched structures supplied by any other manufacturer in the word. Our patented techniques ensure high accuracy and consistency of slot aperture. mechanical weld strength and screen time in harsh operating conditions pipes of any height and diameter based on the client's requirements can be manufactured with our unique manufacturing techniques and facilities.
The dismountable structure allows mounting through the reactor hatch
Large screen area, minimal hydraulic resistance
The usage of a slit screen stops catalyst leakage and excludes clogging of slots due to the usage of triangular wire
Strict control of verticality and straightness tolerances

Redial Flow Reactor Internals
In a typical Radial Flow reactor, the reagent gas is flowing radially on the catalyst bed through components, typically outer baskets or scallops positioned close to the reactor wall and consisting of perforated plates, meshes or wedge wire screens. After passing through the catalyst bed, the gas is collected in a component, typically a centre pipe or inner basket, also made of perforated plate, mesh or wedge wire screen.
